Here are photos I would like to share with my ham friends.

2007, KI6CM, California License Plate.

The California Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) took 5 months to deliver the ham plates.  It sent my new registration 3 months before the plates arrived.  The new registration said "KI6 CM."  I was worried the plates would arrive with a space in them.  The FCC does not issue call signs which have space them.  I called the DMV and they told me the plates would not read this and they could take the space out of the call sign.    Fortunately, the plates did not have a space in it but the registration does.  I hope an overzealous cop, bureaucrat of insurance adjuster does not give me a hardtime later on down the line.

Ham Rado Demo @ South Central Neighborhood Council, Feb. 2007

This is a ham radio demonstration I organized in Los Angeles in Feb. 2007.  LA is divided up in to neighborhood councils, the lowest level of government.  The neighborhood council in South Central asked for my help with their disaster preparedness fair.  Here are my friends and I helping them as picutre in May 2007, QST.

2007, Working a Satellite Pass

Here are myself, Cliff Cheng, Ph.D., WW6CC, Dennis, KD6PLU, Richard Donner, WA6YKR working a satellite pass on field day 2007.  The field day was at our club, the San Fernando Valley Amateur Radio Club, W6SD.  We were on the roof of a parking structure at Northridge Hospital, Los Angeles, California.  Dennis operated his Yaesu VX7-R, using Richard's Arrow II Satellite Antenna while I logged.  Photo: Bernard Falkin, KG6FBM

2007, Jensen Award

I was totally surprised when I got the Jensen Award from the San Fernando Valley Amateur Radio Club, W6SD., for service to the amateur radio community  I actually knew Bob and Lenore.  I have written about them on the Advanced: WW6CC page.
